N4HNH Radio: The Quiet World of CW

I’ve had several viewers write to me to say that they can no longer enjoy HF because of the noise interference where they live. And it isn’t atmospheric noise. It is man-made noise (aka QRM), from various industrial equipment in their metropolitan location. A couple of them told me that they were just going to sell their equipment and leave amateur radio.

Update: One of them bought a Yaesu FTdx10 and he says it is able to subdue the noise well enough that he is going to give it another go.

I think people who live in such noisy environments should also consider the quiet world of CW. That is the subject of this video.
